The initial rumblings of Man's Face Stuff began in spring of 2006, when BT Livermore grew his first moustache. Throughout the next two years, he became unhappy with many waxes available that did not hold properly, were not waterproof (very important in Portland, OR), or just plain smelled bad. He asked his close friend, Evan Dumas - an amateur mad scientist who just so happened to be playing around with natural essential oils at the time - if he could help make his wax smell better.

Evan went above and beyond what BT asked, and a few weeks later presented him with three tins of homemade, spearmint-scented moustache wax. They were not perfect, but it was a wonderful start. Over the next six months, the duo perfected their wax recipe and scent catalog. During this period, Evan grew out his first moustache to help with testing.

Our wax made it's public debut at the Stumptown Comics Fest in April 2009, and we started selling on Etsy at the same time as well.

We hope to continue to provide stellar wax but also branch out into new products as time rolls on too. Thank you for reading!
